Ingredients

  • 8 pounds fresh strawberries
  • 18 ounces fresh blueberries
  • 2 8-ounce bars white Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • After washing your fruit thoroughly and giving it time to dry, pull or slice the stems off your strawberries.
    8 pounds fresh strawberries
  • Place your blueberries in a small white bowl and place it in the corner as a placeholder for the square section.
    18 ounces fresh blueberries
  • Line the strawberries up in a double line, at the top of the platter, skip an equal amount of space and place another double line of strawberries. Skip another equal amount of space and at the very bottom of the platter place one final line of strawberries.
  • Be sure to keep your lines straight and be sure to line up the starting points of the first two double strawberry lines so the blueberry portion is even.
  • Slice your cheese blocks into about ¼-inch slices. Line two slices up side by side in the two open lines. Add another stack on top of each cheese line.
2 8-ounce bars white Cheddar cheese
  • You can either leave your blueberries in the bowl or pour them into the remaining, open space. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Ingredient Prep: Wash your strawberries and blueberries thoroughly and let them dry completely. This prevents excess moisture from affecting the presentation and taste.
  • Maximize Freshness: Keep your strawberries and blueberries in the refrigerator until you assemble the platter. This keeps them fresh and crisp.
  • Strategic Placement: Place the blueberries in a small white bowl at the corner of the platter. This will act as an anchor point and help organize the rest of the layout.
  • Double Up: Stack cheese slices on top of each other for added height and visual interest. This also makes it easier for guests to pick up the cheese.
  • Portion Control: Adjust the quantities based on the number of guests to avoid waste and ensure everyone enjoys the platter.
