Korean Corn Dogs: A Must-Try Recipe

Discover the fun and delicious twist on the classic corn dog. Perfect for any occasion, and surprisingly easy to make at home!

Gather Your Ingredients You'll need flour, sugar, yeast, salt, hot dogs, panko breadcrumbs, bamboo skewers, and oil for frying.  Let's get started!

Make the Batter

Mix flour, sugar, yeast, salt, and lukewarm water in a bowl. Stir until smooth and thick. Let it rise for about an hour.

Skewer the Hot Dogs

Insert bamboo skewers into hot dogs, leaving about 2 inches exposed. Prepare a dish of panko breadcrumbs for coating.

Coat the Hot Dogs

Dip each skewered hot dog into the risen batter, then roll it in panko breadcrumbs. Ensure an even coating.

Chill Before Frying

Place the coated hot dogs in the fridge. Chilling helps the batter stick better and makes frying easier.

Fry the Corn Dogs

Heat oil to 350°F (180°C). Fry the corn dogs for 3-4 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Turn occasionally for  even cooking.

Drain and Serve

Remove corn dogs from oil and place on paper towels to drain excess oil. Dust with sugar while still hot, if desired.

Enjoy Your Korean Corn Dogs!

Serve immediately with your favorite dips like ketchup, mustard, or spicy mayo. Perfect for parties, game nights, or a tasty treat!
